DINNER: We enjoyed the fellowship around the pizza tables last week, and are carefully asking Costco to be more precise in the pizza slicing tomorrow – thank you for rolling with us as we try something new this year. As before, pizza is $1/slice, cash or electronic payment on delivery. We may mix up the menu with a nearby burrito shop in the future. If you have preferences or ideas, or would like to help setup and serve, do connect with Susanna Hodge who is our dinner-on-the-lawn hospitality lead.
ROOM ASSIGNMENT: Parents and students, we’ll have a clipboard signup sheet to use for our 3 sessions of speech breakout coaching. As you arrive, please sign up for the room(s) where you will be participating. Students who are only observing are welcome (and encouraged!) to sit in any coaching room, but are asked to not move between areas until rotations: Session A (6:35-6:55), B (7:00-7:20), & C (7:25-7:40).
COMMUNICATION: Our new families have been added to this email and our slack channel. If you hear of someone who is still missing on either, please connect with Jessica Halfpap at club night this week. Hannah Lee is adding new students to the XNIL Student Google Chat group; if your student needs assistance connecting there, be sure to see Hannah.
HOSPITALITY: Returning students, please do reach out to our new families and help them get acquainted with the club and our facilities! Take a chance this week to introduce yourself and help all be welcomed warmly — you are a great resource for answering questions and helping students and parents alike make new connections. Thank you for reaching out! Additionally, we do share this space with others, thank you for helping us be good stewards and respectful of the property and those meeting in neighboring rooms.
ANNUAL REGISTRATION: New and returning parents here is link to our digital registration form. Club fees are due by October 1st; check (written to Ex Nihilo Club) or cash can be given to our club treasurer, Josh Halfpap, or venmo Josh-Halfpap and annotate “Ex Nihilo registration fee.” Annual fees: $100 for first student, $50 for 2nd student, $25 for third student. Family annual fee caps at $175.
